    Abstract:

    Thermal oxidation (TO) process was conducted to realize surface treatment of TC4 alloy. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), glow discharge optical emission spectrometer (GDOES), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were employed to analysis the characterizations of the obtained TO layer. Electrochemical corrosion behaviors of the TO layer and TC4 alloy substrate in CO2-saturated simulated oilfield medium were investigated. The results showed that the continuous and uniform TO layer was mainly composed of rutile TiO2 phase. TO treatment had significantly improve the anticorrosion property of TC4 alloy.
