    Abstract:

Cu elements have been introduced into the Ti-6Al-4V substrate by using double glow plasma surface alloying technology to form burn-resistant alloyed layer on the surface. Composition and hardness in the alloyed surface layer gradually change in the depth direction of the substrate and its microstructure is substrate microstructure plus diffused Ti2Cu intermetallics. Abecedarian tests reveal that the copperized alloying layer has the function of burn-resistance.
