Abstract:
      Mg96.5Gd2.5Zn1、Mg96Gd2.5Zn1Ca0.5和Mg95Gd2.5Zn1Ca0.5Al1 alloys were fabricated by conventional gravity casting. The influence of Ca and Al elements on the formation of LPSO phase in as-cast Mg-Gd-Zn alloys and the microstructural evolution and the variation in mechanical properties through subsequent solid-solution heat treatment and hot extrusion processing were investigated and the correlation between the microstructural transformation and mechanical behavior was analyzed.
