Abstract:Step-by-step rolling processing produced Ti-6-22-22S alloy rod with a diameter of 50 mm. Tensile properties at room temperature were examined of different section zones of rod. Microstructures after heat treatment processes were observed. The results show that step by step rolling rod has a better combination of strength and ductility. Bimodalmicrostructure resulted from alpha-beta heat-treatment is more suitable for obtaining good combined properties of strength and ductility.
