The present status of titanium indrty development in China in 2003 is comprehensively summarized. Combining industrial structure, markets, competitive power, and erenomic situation etc., the economic character of titanium industry is analyzed and the out- standing problems at present for titanium industry development is pointed out. Some titanium enterprises are introduced with the empha- sis.
