Abstract:The microstructure, textures, mechanical properties and processing properties of commercial TA34 titanium tubes produced by rolling and annealing were investigated. Meanwhile the effects of textures on the mechanical properties and processing properties were studied. The results show that The <10 0> is parallel to the axial direction of cold processed TA34 tubes, which belongs to the fiber texture. The mechanical properties of the TA34 tubes are insignificantly affected by the Q ratio, while the Q ratio strongly influences the flattening properties of the tubes. For the well-annealed billet, it is obvious to note that increasing the Q ratio produces an increase concentration of basal plane normal to the transverse direction of tubes, and the transverse texture improves the flattening properties of the tubes. In addition, the relief annealing does not alternate the texture of the tubes.
